Kingston- Dairy Entry 1

     Kingston is the capital and heart of Jamaica. Located on the southeastern coast of the island, Kingston offers many things to both the Jamaican citizen and the eager tourist. Kingston is Jamaica's largest city, and is home to 651,880 people. The people there are mainly of African descent, and minorities include East Indian and Chinese.  The majority of Kingston's people are a Christian denomination, including Roman Catholic, Baptist, Methodist, etc. However, some people there are Jewish and Muslim. As the heart of Jamaica, Kingston is the economic center of Jamaica. Because of a high  population density, most business interactions take place there. Also, many  government ministries are located there, so Kingston plays a central role in Jamaica's economy. Because of its location on the coast and being surrounded by the Blue Mountains, Kingston has a tropical wet and dry climate. The city of Kingston is a beautiful place and stands to date as the center of Jamaica.
