Kingston- Economic Hardship

Kingston, Jamaica is a wonderful place, filled with beautiful landscapes and a bustling crowd, but the lives of an average Jamaican citizen varies greatly from person to person. Being the heart of Jamaica, one would think that people who live there have great economic status. However, it is quite the contrary. A Kingston resident suffers many hardships with the economy. Inflation has taken hold, and is not letting go. A Jamaican citizen survives from working long hours for not a great pay. Many work of vending fruits and handicrafts for change. These vendors set up on the street, near tourist attractions, and deep in the heart of Kingston. They work all day and make barely enough to support themselves, much less a family. Not all Kingston residents suffer from economic hardship, but most do.
